SteppingStones Donates to Cayman Crisis Centre

SteppingStones was proud to choose the Cayman Crisis Centre as the recipient of its July/August donation.  On Monday, September 12 2011, centre representative Nicola Martyn stopped by our offices and graciously accepted our donation from Theresa Hydes.

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC) is a locally run charitable company that was established in early 2003.  Their mission is to provide safe, temporary, shelter and a supportive environment for abused women and their children.

The CICC acknowledges that domestic abuse and sexual abuse is a violation of an individual’s human rights, and is not just a problem that affects the persons directly involved but also their families and the community.    They believe that everyone deserves the right to live a life free of violence and are dedicated to seeing an end to these horrific crimes. Through their services and programmes they hope to educate the community in order to prevent domestic abuse and sexual abuse.

Thank you to the members of our temporary support team who generously donate each month.  These donations are matched by SteppingStones and greatly help so many on Island charities.
