Emma’s Golf Odyssey Continues

Emma Woodhouse’s golf odyssey continued through November culminating in a victory for her team in the Cayman Islands Business and Professional Women’s golf tournament.  This annual fund raising event is always well attended and this year was no exception with over 60 ladies taking to the Britannia golf course.  The tournament raised over CI$10,000 for various on island charities.

The focus of the event was having fun! Teams of four played in a scramble format and the skill levels ranged from Cayman national team members to people who have never stepped onto a course before.  The added twist is that many of the teams wear sometimes quite elaborate costumes whilst playing.

Because of the range of experience, prizes were awarded not only for the best score – which is the one Emma’s team won, but also for most honest (highest)and most exuberant, amongst others. The day was not a total success for Emma’s team, however, as they were defending champions of the costume prize and whilst they defended bravely, they were pipped at the post this year!

Emma’s team was still very proud of their low score victory considering  it was achieved dressed as goddesses in flowing white robes with streamers and laurel wreath headdresses! Unfortunately, despite many requests, Emma has declined to provide photographs!
