The two day Cayman Islands Golf Championships took place 12th and 13th May at the North Sound Golf Club. Emma Woodhouse took part but although she did not win, she was runner up in her division and won a prize for hitting a shot closest to the flag on the par 3, 9th hole.
Speaking at the prize giving ceremony at the end of the competition, Jason Perras, President of the Cayman Island Golf Association, named and thanked all the sponsors for their support explaining that the monies raised were used not only to run the championships but also for junior golf coaching and for funding representative teams at international events.
SteppingStones sponsored the 11th hole which is the signature hole on the course, a picturesque but very difficult one that looks out onto the North Sound. It has particular significance for Emma as it is where she got married! See the photo below which shows the SteppingStones banner in the foreground with the green and a group of golfers framed by palm trees in the distance.
