Cayman’s Premier hails local employment as ‘best for a decade’
There was good news for Caymanians last week as the country’s Premier announced that jobs and opportunities for Caymanians are better than they have been for almost ten years, with better things to come.
The economy is reported to have seen steady annual growth each year over the past four years, from 1.5% in 2013 to 3% last year. In addition, price increases on good are expected to reduce this year.
Unemployment in Cayman has also fallen from 6.3% to 4.5% between 2013 and 2016, with unemployment for Caymanians falling from just under 10.5% in 2012 to 5.6% in 2016.
