The Cayman community came together in full force to show support for the Heroes’ for Hannah event in support of The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer.
Hannah Meeson of Grand Cayman has anaplastic medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2012 at age 4. Hundreds of people came out to show their support and get involved on Friday 11th September at Cricket Square to donate and support the many volunteers that were getting their heads shaved on stage. This included men, women and children who bravely gave up their locks in the fight against childhood cancer. It was an emotional yet inspirational evening.
Over $300,000 was raised in an effort to support the fight against childhood cancer and assist with further cancer research!
