Training & Development
SteppingStones Training & Development offers
a tailor made solution to all your learning and development needs.
In addition to writing and facilitating training workshops we carry
out comprehensive learning needs assessments and undertake evaluations
of training provided.
Whilst we recommend the comprehensive steps
outlined below we offer a totally flexible, client centered service
and are happy to provide any one element in isolation. We work
in partnership with each organisation to produce the best possible
product for our clients, striving both to maximize the learning
transfer to employees and return on investment.
Identifing training
needs
Training costs money not only paying for provision; be it courses
or attendance at college, but also in time away from the workplace
for the employees involved. Ensuring the right training for
the right person makes sound business sense not only by increasing
knowledge, improving skill levels and enhancing behaviours
but to the bottom line too.
How to get a bespoke training
solution
Even if we do not carry out a learning needs analysis before
we design any workshop we would expect to have an in-depth
meeting with our client to ascertain exactly who the trainees
will be, their levels of experience and seniority and any other
specific needs. We would also want to know about the organisation;
its culture and goals. Our interactive workshops are tailored
to combine the newest ideas and best practices with each company’s
policies and procedures. Please see below for a non-exhaustive
list of workshops we have provided for organisations on island.
Because
we appreciate how stretched businesses are and the difficulties
of having employees away from their desks attending training
we also tailor the length and timing of our courses to suit our
clients’ needs. We will run courses in the evenings and on Saturdays
as well as full and half day workshops and hour long ‘lunch and
learn’ sessions. We like to have no more than 12 per group to
ensure plenty of attention from the trainer and opportunities
for the delegates to participate and contribute. We are happy
to award certificates to attendees.
Evaluation
Evaluations are carried out at the end of each course by questionnaire
and the results summarised and provided to the client in a
written report. We offer and encourage a variety of follow
up activities to be undertaken either by SteppingStones or
in house. We also offer a service of undertaking evaluations
of all training provision within the business on an individual,
team or organisational level.
